The (Google) Android mobile software platform holds great promise given Google's contributions to open source software and cloud computing.  Android is more device agnostic than other mobile platforms and can run on a variety of devices from companies participating in the Open Handset Alliance.  Android apps can also integrate with Google's web application stack and APIs including Docs, Gmail and Maps.  Android is an ideal platform for content rich mobile experiences and use cases that focus on finding, editing, annotating, or creating content.
